The Physician of the year recognizes a physician who has demonstrated outstanding leadership on a local, state or national level to improve accessibility, affordability and quality of healthcare in our region.
This year, the award was presented to Dr. Elizabeth Garcia-Gray, Chief of Child Psychiatry at Seven Counties Services.
Dr. Garcia-Gray’s philosophy concerning healing is evident in her three-fold approach to her life’s work: tackling immediate needs, eradicating the sources of the problems and providing relief to others on the front lines. As the Chief of Child Psychiatry for Seven Counties Services, she directs treatment and care for thousands of young people with severe mental illness, addictions and severe emotional and behavioral issues in our communities.
